Green Salon Project

‘Beautiful hair that doesn’t cost the earth’. Green Salon Project is the creation of Donna O’Neill, an enviornmentally conscious hair salon owner in west Cork. Her aim is to give a more eco friendly and sustainable salon experience. She uses organic, biodynamic, cruelty free and eco-friendly brands, uses a brand called ‘Paper Not Foil’ instead of plastic meche for highlights and even recycles hair cuttings with a company that turns them into hair booms that clean up oil spills in the ocean.

The Green Salon Project logo was inspired by the ocean dandelion, ‘a creature that is made up of trillions of cells and hundreds of animals. All these animals work together in the same way your cells work together, creating a super-organism’. This symbolises her approach to the environment, each person working together for the greater good of the planet we live in. We are all connected.
